We are a regional comprehensive junior high and high school that is small enough to feel connected, yet big enough to offer many opportunities for growth and success through areas such as AP courses, STEM classes, clubs, retreats, sports, the arts and more.

Junior high and high school at Nouvel Catholic Central is a time of bringing together all the threads of student development for academics and their ongoing spiritual development – our students graduate prepared to succeed.

We offer a challenging curriculum along with the efforts of committed educators and involved parents combine to fuel academic success. Scholarly achievements include National Merit Scholar recognition, excellent AP pass rates and more. At Nouvel Catholic Central Junior High and High School, we provide an educational ministry based upon the Gospel principles as expressed in the history, tradition, doctrine and liturgy of the Catholic Church. Faith serves as the moral compass for all that we do. Our faith foundation intentionally fosters students’ growth in four key areas: leadership, intellectual, spiritual and personal. Students exemplify their faith through daily prayer, weekly Mass, and thousands of hours in service to the community each year.

Students graduate from Nouvel Catholic Central Junior High and High School prepared to succeed. Our high-achieving students attract multiple scholarship offers, grants, awards and scholarship opportunities. We offer Advanced Placement, college preparatory, and honors curriculums in addition to dual enrollment and opportunities at the Saginaw Career Complex. 

Our Class of 2022 again boasted a 100% graduation rate, 100% acceptance to college/university, served 8,936 hours to the community, and was awarded $2.5 million in scholarships. Our students have strong faith and values, love of learning, and a commitment to service in their communities and the world.

Nouvel Catholic Central Junior High and High School students enjoy a healthy, competitive atmosphere as they strive to excel in academics, visual and performing arts, athletics and in life. In addition, we offer a wide variety of clubs, organizations and extracurricular activities. 

Athletics

Nouvel students study hard, but they also play hard! Our athletic program develops our student-athletes through education and competition. Nouvel offers 21 Varsity Sports with more than 70% participation rate among our high school students. Nouvel athletes have won 29 State Championship/runner-up finishes and 73 MHSAA Regional Championships.  Our program has proudly produced five MHSAA Scholar-Athlete Scholarship recipients and numerous Academic All-State and MHSAA Good Sports are Winners teams. We are also proud to offer a state-of-the-art strength and conditioning program.
