Our Catholic Schools:
Centered in Christ, Committed to Excellence.
A note from the superintendent:
During April and May, I had the pleasure of traveling to many of our schools to meet with the school board, committee and/or parent organization. During these sessions, I was able to share the work and goals of the Office of Catholic Schools as well as the ongoing work occurring in the Chancery in support of our schools and parishes.
It was also important for me to hear from members of the school community as our office, along with the Diocesan School Council, refined our plan for the 2024-25 school year. It is important to us that the work that we are engaged in supports our schools in a very intentional, deliberate and meaningful way.
Acknowledging the recipients of the Excellence in Teaching Award is one of the highlights of my school year. This year was no exception. It was especially gratifying this year because both teachers we honored have such a significant impact on the spiritual development of their respective students. Beyond the two teachers selected for the award, reading the nominations was a great reminder of the impact that so many of our teachers make every day in the lives of their students.
On behalf of the Office of Catholic Schools, I hope that all of our students, families, staff and faculty have a great summer. We will be working hard over the summer months to support our schools as we prepare to welcome you back after your summer break.
Dr. Cormac Lynn, Superintendent
