Our Catholic Schools:
Centered in Christ, Committed to Excellence.
School of Athens by Raphael, Wikimedia CommonsFeb. 21, 2025 — Over the past few years, the Office of Catholic Schools has been engaged in conversation with a few Bad Axe-area families regarding the possibility of establishing a Catholic high school in the Thumb. Discussions are still in the exploratory stage. As a result of our most recent conversations and the work done by these families, we are now in a position to solicit feedback to gauge the level of interest. Bishop Robert Gruss and Father Nate Harburg, regional vicar, are aware of and supportive of this investigative process to determine how we may best be able to serve those seeking a Catholic education in the Thumb. The next step in this process is to determine if sufficient interest and potential student enrollment exists to take further action. We are asking interested parishioners and community members to complete a brief feasibility survey by March 20, 2025 to help us gain an informed perspective of the educational interests in the region.
Once the survey data has been collected and analyzed, we will follow up appropriately with those who submitted a response and with the Thumb Catholic high school initiative team.
