Our Catholic Schools:
Centered in Christ, Committed to Excellence.
The Office of Catholic Schools is pleased to announce an open call for nominations for the Excellence in Teaching Award.
This award is intended to recognize and celebrate the positive impact that Catholic school teachers in the Diocese of Saginaw make in the lives of their students as well as in their schools and communities. The award seeks to recognize teachers who exemplify what it means to be a Catholic educator.
One elementary/middle school and one middle/high school teacher will be recognized.
Recipients will receive a $2,500 stipend. Nominations may be submitted by anyone in the school community until 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, April 21.
Nominees are evaluated based, in part, on:
1. Faith-centered and professional behavior, demonstrating Catholic values both professionally and personally.
2. Classroom instruction and student engagement, inspiring and enabling all students to learn.
3. Making a positive impact on the school community and teaching their students to do the same.
